From April 2022Â the UK national minimum wage thresholds are as follows:
- Apprentices £4.81
- 16 – 17 £4.81
- 18 – 20 years old £6.83
- 21-22 years old £9.18
- 23 and over £9.50
Daily Accommodation Offset £8.70 (if an employee is given accommodation by an employer, free or paid, it can affect what the employee is paid)
Who can get the minimum wage?
Most adult workers who:
- are working legally in the UK
- are not genuinely self-employed
- have a written, oral or implied contract
