From April 2022 the UK national minimum wage thresholds are as follows:

  1. Apprentices £4.81
  2. 16 – 17 £4.81
  3. 18 – 20 years old £6.83
  4. 21-22 years old £9.18
  5. 23 and over £9.50

Daily Accommodation Offset £8.70 (if an employee is given accommodation by an employer, free or paid, it can affect what the employee is paid)

Who can get the minimum wage?

Most adult workers who:

  • are working legally in the UK
  • are not genuinely self-employed
  • have a written, oral or implied contract
